Happy New Year from FoRPS
We hope you've all had a restful and happy new year. We'd like to take this opportunity to update you all on what's going on with the FoRPS this year.
The new committee consists as follows :
Chairperson - Vicki McClure
Vice Chairpersons - Steph Self and Emma Cooper-Green
Secretary - Andie Childs
Treasurer - Louise Nevard
Publicity officer - Vanessa Pochin
The rest of the committee is made up of fab parents.
So far we have organised the Holly Fayre which was a great success. Visits from Santa and his reindeer brought in visitors from far and wide and we managed to make over £2049!
The committee meets on a regular basis to plan events, organise fundraising and eat cake. If you would like to join us you would be very welcome. There are notice boards in the playground and on the school advertising the meeting dates. There is also a Facebook page.

Where the money goes!!
The Friends have had a fantastic year of fundraising. The support of parents and families is, of course, vital for not only raising the money but also running the events. I thought it might be nice for you to see what type of things all that money is spent on in school and how all those events really do benefit every child.
The FoRPS generously support educational visits for every class.
The Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers visited Lopham Fen. |
The Rabbits and Foxes visted Kentwell Hall dressed as tudors as part of their topic work. |
The Badgers and Squirrels visited the Norfolk Show |
The Otters, Owls and Deers saw Goiodnight Mr Tom at the Theatre Royal in Norwich. |
The Friends helped Mrs Clarke to organise and run the Golden Jubilee celebrations and presented each pupil with a celebratory mug. |
Following the delivery of our new ipads the Friends have been very supportive in providing a Mini Mac and whiteboard link cables to make sure we can get the best use of them. |
